The second title track of the BMBB’s debut album, “New Home” begins as a half-time shuffle with solo space for trumpet with a feel similar to some of the music of Steely Dan. As the chart develops, the shuffle doubles the implied feel and the chart begins to roll along with space for the baritone saxophone to cut through an increasingly dense background texture reflecting the traffic around Boston. The chart resumes the half-time Purdie shuffle with a bass solo at the end to bring the chart to its conclusion.
