One of the title tracks of the BMBB’s debut album, “Old Home” is a joyous 5/4 romp. The chart opens with an a capella trombone soli, and follows with two separate heads that get more and more unhinged as the chart progresses. Solo space exists for tenor and trombone, but the chart could be opened up for any musician wanting a turn over the blues. The piece ends with a repeat of the opening trombone soli, and caps with a bass trombone pedal as raucous as you’d like it to be. Also included is an optional organ part if you happen to have access to one!
